Trinity at a glance
What makes Trinity different: Trinity briefly became the Trinity County seat on May 20, 1873 after the Houston & Great Northern Railroad bypassed Sumpter (losing the seat to Pennington the next year), and at its peak it tied together more than 160 miles of track and over thirty sawmills; it now leans on Lake Livingston recreation and food-service jobs.
