Carrier names shown are illustrative of the national plans we can help you compare and do not imply an appointment with, or endorsement by, any carrier. We disclose any carrier conflict of interest before a recommendation. For Medicare: Medicare.gov has every plan; we do not offer every plan available in your area.

Meet Matt
Matt got tired of watching neighbors get rushed through insurance decisions by agents they'd never hear from again. So he built something different: a small, local practice where the person who quotes you is the same person who picks up the phone next year when your plan changes or a claim gets confusing.
Talk to a real agent
No call centers. The person who quotes you is the person who answers the phone next year.

No jargon, no scare tactics. We translate the fine print so you can decide with confidence.
Texas & Florida focused
We work two states deeply instead of fifty shallowly — so we know the carriers, networks, and rules.
Medicare, ACA & life education
Free guides, calculators, and county data — learn first, decide when you're ready.
No-pressure help
An independent agent paid by the carriers, not by you. Quote, compare, and walk away anytime.

A quick, honest primer on each product — who it's for and what to watch for.
Medicare
Who it helps: Turning 65, on disability, or reviewing your current plan.
What to watch for: Advantage networks are county-specific; the cheapest premium is rarely the lowest total cost.
Learn moreACA Health
Who it helps: Under 65, self-employed, or between jobs in Texas or Florida.
What to watch for: The 400% subsidy cliff returned for 2026 — one dollar over can mean full price.
Learn moreLife Insurance
Who it helps: Anyone with a mortgage, young family, or income others rely on.
What to watch for: Lock in level term while you're healthy; rates rise every year you wait.
Learn moreFinal Expense
Who it helps: Seniors who want to spare family the cost of a funeral.
What to watch for: Avoid graded plans with a 2-year waiting period if you qualify for immediate coverage.
Learn moreAnnuities
Who it helps: Pre-retirees wanting guaranteed income they can't outlive.
What to watch for: Read the surrender schedule and the real index cap — not the headline rate.

Who it helps: Planning for assisted living or in-home care costs.
What to watch for: Hybrid life+LTC pays heirs even if you never need care — unlike old standalone LTC.

Frequently Asked Questions
What states are you licensed in?
Matt Giron is a Texas-resident licensed insurance agent. We focus only on Texas and Florida residents — that focus lets us know the carriers, networks, and state rules at a deeper level than a 50-state agency.
Do you charge a fee?
No. Like most an independent insurance agent, we are compensated by the carriers when you enroll. There is no cost to you for using our service.
How is Medicare Advantage different from Medigap?
Medicare Advantage replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that usually bundles Part D and extras (dental, vision), but uses a local network. Medigap supplements Original Medicare and works with any provider nationwide that accepts Medicare. We compare both for your situation.
What changed with ACA subsidies for 2026?
The enhanced premium tax credits expired December 31, 2025, restoring the 400% federal-poverty-level subsidy cliff. Benchmark premiums rose sharply (Florida ~34%). We model your exact subsidy scenario before you re-enroll.
What is final expense insurance?
A small simplified-issue whole life policy ($5,000–$50,000) designed to cover funeral, burial, and final medical costs so your family isn't left with the bill. No medical exam in most cases.
Are annuities safe?
A fixed indexed annuity protects your principal from market losses while crediting interest tied to an index. The trade-offs are surrender periods and rate caps — we walk through both in plain English before anything is signed.
Do I have to give my phone number to get a quote?
No. The ZIP form only requires a ZIP. You'll see options and our number — you call us if and when you want to.
How do I reach Matt?
Call our Texas line at (713) 997-5768 or our Florida line at (305) 306-3301, email hello@gironagency.com, or book a 15-minute call on our calendar. We answer our own phones.
