Flagler Beach at a glance
What makes Flagler Beach different: Flagler Beach is one of the last low-rise 'old Florida' beach towns on the east coast, banning high-rise development and allowing cars to park right on the shoulder of A1A beside its cinnamon-colored sand; its historic fishing pier (originally built 1927-28) closed after Hurricanes Ian and Nicole and is being rebuilt in concrete for a 2026 reopening.
